Nathan Drury is the big stack from 1c, and the big stack for Day 2 with 1.301 million. There were 47 players still left with chips at the end of 1c, and Qi Xi Huang joins Drury in the millionaire club. Kenneth Der, Nohad Teliani, and Thomas Taylor round out the top five stacks tonight.
Full Day 1c stacks will be uploaded to Chip Counts shortly, and stay tuned for a list of 1c cashers, as well as an opening post for Day 2.
The Main Event players are now bagging up for the night and it looks like there are still 48 players left alive after 1c. I'll confirm that total once the bags are collected but right now it looks like 87 players will be returning for Day 2 action tomorrow.
Once the bubble burst, things started moving a bit quicker. They've lost 6 players already to bring the remaining field down to 65. I'll publish a full list of Day 1c cashers later in the night once they bag, but the players I;ve seen cash out so far are Allen Shen, Guoqing Wu, Connor Kriekle, Makaya Wagabaza, and John Ertner, with 69th place still blank as the player hasn't shown up to get their payslip authorized.
Among the players who just got into the money tonight is Johnny Yu. He's still alive at the tables looking for a bag later tonight, but he's in this on a single bullet from a max-late reg earlier tonight. His flight in from Rome was delayed, and he raced down from the Airport to Deerfoot to get in just under the wire and now he's at least managed a min-cash from it.
There was no hand-for-hand tonight as they lost two players in the final hands as the clock was paused. It is now a race to 24 players or the end of Level 18, whichever comes first.
There are 74 players left in Day 1c of the Main now with moments left to play in Level 16, so it looks like my prediction was a bit off as it now looks like they'll be on the bubble in Level 17.
They are nine off the money now in Day 1c with about 30 minutes to play in Level 16. Among the players still alive looking for a cash or a bag are Leo Zhang, Qingwei Meng, DJ Sharma, Roman Gallivan, Cody McKay, Tyler Hurman, Julius Roque, Shawn Taghavi, Chris Clisby, Joon Park, Cliff Green. Jack Hardcastle, Johnny Yu, Hua Zang, Nohad Teliani, Nate Drury, Hari Aujla, Glenn Tarasoff, Duff Charette, Brant Taylor, David Labchuk, Thomas Taylor, Duntin Centanni, Pav Braich, Edmonton's Paul Brar, and Andrew Goosen.
There are 81 players left in the action with Level 15 about to begin. They have three more levels to play today once they return from the break with the expectation that they'll be playing hand-for-hand on the bubble sometime in this level.
They are down to 85 players remaining in 1c now, with a bit less than 10 minutes to play until the final break of the night. It still looks like they'll hit the money bubble sometime in Level 16 after the break, and very likely bag with 30 or more players still left in the game.
The remaining 1c field is down to 90 now, 19 off the money spots. There are just over 25 minutes left in Level 15 with the final break of the day scheduled at the end of this level.
There are 99 players left in Day 1c now with Level 15 just underway. They'll be off for the final break of Day 1c following this level, then return for three more levels of poker, at most, before the bags come out.
They are now 28 eliminations away from the first payouts, so it looks like they'll be playing on the bubble sometime after the upcoming break.
The prizes are in and the 1c field is confirmed at 471. That puts the three-day total at 911 for total prizes of $1,380,165.
Payouts will start at 71st place tonight, and at least 24 players will advance to Day 2 from today's flight. They'll play until the end of Level 18 tonight, or until they hit 24 players, whichever comes first, but based on previous days, it seems likely that more than 24 players will be bagging up at the end of Level 18.

The numbers are dropping fast in Day 1c of the Main now with 126 left. I'm still waiting on the prizes to confirm the numbers, but based on the unofficial totals, there will be 71 players cashing from today's flight, with at least 24 moving on to tomorrow's Day 2.
Johnny Yu rarely misses a Main Event here in Alberta, but he came close to missing this one. He was returning from Rome today and after a flight delay, he managed to get here just in time to max-late reg the final flight. "10 big blinds and a dream," he said with a smile as he headed to his seat.
Entries are now officially closed, and the final number for today on the board was 471, for 911 across all three days. If that holds, the final prize pool will close at $1,380,165.
The Main Event players are out for their final break for late entries, and when they return for Level 13 in about 12 minutes, the Main Event field for this series will be set. The combined field is now up to 907 entries for total prizes of $1,374,105.
The prize pool is now over $1.36 million with 901 total entries so far. There are now just over 25 minutes left to enter this final flight of the Main, but they'll need another 25 entries or so to crack $1.4 million, so it remains to be seen if it will get quite that high.

Day 1c is into Level 12 now, and this will be the final level of entry for the Main Event. The combined field is now just 3 entries off of 900 for combined prizes of almost $1.36 million, so it seems virtually certain that number will be cracked.
I had a wander around the rooms earlier to snap a few photos of some of the players looking to bag a stack here on the final flight for the Main. Among the players looking for glory here are David Ko, owner of three rings including the Flip & Go from last night, Leo Zhang, who won his first ring in the PLO Bounty last night, four-time ring winner Paul Sokoloff (who picked up his most recent ring in January's Seniors event), Brant Taylor, who won an event here at Deerfoot in 2022, and Jack Hardcastle, a British high-roller who comes to Calgary from time to time for a spring series.
Dau 1c of the Main Event is up to 433 entries with Level 10 underway. That puts the combined field at 873, 27 away from 900 in total for the three days. Entries are still open for about two hours, so there is every chance they'll crack the 900 number before it all closes down.
The Main Event players are on their dinner break now with the end of Level 9. There are 420 entries on the board to start the break for prizes of $1,302,900 right now and just shy of 3 hours left to get into this final flight.
Day 1c is up to 404 entries now, for 844 across all three days. Level 9 has just begun and this will be the last level before dinner, they'll still have three levels of poker to enter the game after dinner before the entries shutter at about 8:30 PM tonight.
The current prizes are closing in on $1.3 million. At this point, $1,5 million seems a bit out of reach, but a total prize pool of $1.4 million isn't out of the question by the end of today.
The combined prize pool is now just shy of $1,25 million and the next entry will push them over that number. There are 385 entries on the board so far today, for a grand total of 825 across all three days with a bit more than four hours left to get into the game.
The combined prizes are over $1.2 million now with Level 6 just completed and players now on their second break of the day. There are 357 entries on the board for 1c, which puts the combined total at 797 right now.
