A near-perfect poker opportunity is coming up in Malta this Autumn, especially if your bankroll lets you indulge in a few of the more elite events.
The two most important festivals in Malta’s packed poker calendar – the Malta Poker Festival and Battle of Malta – are running in tandem at the end of October, giving players the chance to experience first-class tournament action in a superb location.
Being Malta, the High Roller tournaments are at the more affordable end of the scale but still offer players the chance to win big, with prize pools up to €371k last Autumn.
The Main Event winners at both MPF and BOM festivals also won handsome six-figure sums in Autumn 2023 with prize pools up to €1.7 Million.
Boom time for high stakes players
To this end, both festivals have added Super High Roller tournaments to their schedules this Autumn. Each last just a couple of days – and the good news is that you can easily play both in a four-day spree.
The €2,500 Malta Poker Festival SHR - hosted by Game of Gold’s Lukas Robinson - runs November 3-4 at Portomaso Casino while the two-day €2,700 BOM SHR kicks off just ten minutes’ walk away at Casino Malta on November 5.
If you want to keep your buy-ins around the €1k mark, then you could play both of the High Rollers instead: have a go in the MPF High Roller from November 2-3 and then head over to BOM for their HR event running November 3-4.
The festival’s main events also offer great value – the €550 MPF Grand Event runs October 27 to 4th November and comes with a €500k guarantee (and an opportunity to jump into the first Day 1 for only €400!)
While down the road, the BOM €600 buy-in Main Event is running October 30 to November 6. Between the two events there is €2 Million Guaranteed!
