After a brilliant heads up battle with long time friend Dave Collins our #BPSONEDAY20K Champion is… Darren Knaggs

Darren came 2nd last time we were here and said he wished he’d put up more of a fight heads up so this time he wasn’t giving it up easily 

Darren & Dave have been involved in the poker scene here for many years running forums and generally being stand up guys amongst the community so it was a pleasure to watch them battle it out

We join the action on a flop of and 2 players are all in. Our at risk player has for top pair with the nut flush draw and is against and needing to hit. The on the turn puts us at a chop but the on the river secures rhe double up! We're still at 14 players.

Nick flops a set of 9’s but they are no good as Darren flops a set of Queens for the full double up! Not often you see set over set on the flop… Nick is still sitting with a very healthy stack over 300k and with 17 players left he has his eyes firmly on that 1st place prize of £6,000

11 players will make the money today with a min cash being worth £450 

Eric & Nick tangle button v sb Eric opens and is called by Nick in the sb and the bb folds. We head to a flop of and Nick fires out a bet of 7k into a pot of 12k the turn is a board pairing and both players check. The river is the and both players like what they see with Nick putting in a bet of 20k and Eric quickly calling and showing for top 2 pair only to see that river was slightly better for Nick and his both players flopped top pair with a gut shot straight draw but Nick hit his straight!!!

We have unfortunately lost Darren after his AQ fell short to KINGS all in on a Queen high flop! 

Players are on a 15 minute break and will be going back to level 10 with blinds at 1k/2k
